THE WAY out by GreenEyezz THE WAY out by GreenEyezz
Entrance to a lava tube. Thanks to my sweetie, who had no idea I was taking this photo XD

Struggled choosing between "Stairway to Heaven" and "Down in the Depths" as the title. For a while it was the cliche stairway to heaven but I have changed it to "THE WAY out" because "the way" is how the early Christian church referred to themselves as, calling themselves followers of "the way" as Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. I added on "out" because I also like the idea of calling it "The Way Out", referring to how Jesus is our way out from sin. He is the way out from Darkness. He provides the bridge for us to come into the light. He is our escape out.

I love the symbolism! The way you are looking away from the way out really shows the reality of how we treat salvation. Even though it is right there in front of us, we often ignore it.

Thank you. I really appreciate your interpretation (btw, It's not me, it's my bf. He didn't know I was taking a photo of him. Moments prior he was actually looking up the stairs, but I wasn't quick enough to get the shot before he looked away ;P ).

Boyd Cave near Bend, OR. The cave is a lava tube. I visited this place on a field trip with my Volcanology class last month :)

There's a really cool lava tube down at Mt. St. Helens too called the Ape Caves. It's a fun place to visit if you ever get the chance.
