ahkaay, well if you're leaving I thought I should mention something, just in case you can see it...
you've got that stamp about the global flood research, and since that seems to be an issue you care about, I thought I'd shed some light on the subject so you're at least educated on it.

The story of Noah was written during the Babylonian Captivity of the Jewish people, way back in the Chaldean Empire, along with the Creation myth. Genesis, up until Abraham, has no historical value whatsoever. It wasn't meant to. It was written to establish the Hebrew people's beliefs in differentiation from the pagan religions by which they were surrounded.
"The Flood" is part of the Sin Salvation motif-the story of Sodom and Gamorrah being the other part, and the Genesis 2 being the beginning. The point of that story is just to show that God will save His people from sin. It never happened, and wasn't meant by the writers to be taken as a literal event.

I just thought you'd appreciate some facts on it since you are intrested in the subject. You support research, and this is what Bibical scholars have researched and know to be true :heart:
